DWELL

an iOS & Android app

Your data

Delete your account.

Your record belongs to you. If you want it gone, it goes — all of it, permanently.

From inside the app

Open Dwell, go to your Account screen, and choose Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm twice. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, activity logs, skills, landmarks, atlas pins, keepsakes, and settings are all removed from our servers, along with the account itself. There is no grace period and no way for us to bring it back.

Without the app

If you've already uninstalled Dwell or can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm and remove it by hand, usually within a few days.

You can also write to the same address to ask us to delete specific data (a particular entry, say) without closing the whole account.

What's deleted

Everything tied to you: name, email, sign-in credentials, every entry you've written, every place you've pinned, and the progress built from them. Crash reports already sent to our error monitoring service are not tied to your identity and age out on their own.

We may keep records that can no longer be connected to you, such as de-identified activity descriptions and their effort estimates, which help keep the app's estimates consistent for everyone. These carry no name, account, or anything that points back at you, and we commit to never re-identifying them.
